About the role

You may qualify at the GS-14 level if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: You must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service that is directly related to the work of the position. Specialized experience is performing comprehensive human resources operations and advisory services. This includes independently advising managers on staffing, recruitment, hiring authorities, and pay-setting; developing job analyses and assessment tools; preparing Delegated Examining and merit promotion announcements in compliance with federal regulations; and classifying positions across multiple occupational series and grade levels, including conducting desk audits and writing narrative evaluation statements. Providing guidance on position management and organizational structure, developing and analyzing HR reports and data to support decision-making, and applying federal HR laws, regulations, and policies to resolve complex staffing, classification, compensation, and workforce management issues. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 or higher grade in Federal Service. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
